Tiroler Festspiele - Abschied von der schönen Welt
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart String Quintet No. 4 in G minor K. 516 Johannes Brahms Clarinet Quintet in B minor op. 115 Under the motto "Farewell to the Beautiful World," two late masterpieces of chamber music meet. Mozart's String Quintet in G minor K. 516 is a work of remarkable depth, whose dark underlying mood finds expression in moving cantilenas and subtle dialogue – a farewell tone in the guise of perfected form. Brahms' Clarinet Quintet in B minor op. 115, inspired by the playing of Richard Mühlfeld, is one of his last works. It combines autumnal melancholy with a warm, transfigured beauty. Together, these two works create a bridge between classical rigor and romantic intimacy, interpreted by solo clarinetist Andreas Schablas and his colleagues from the Bavarian State Orchestra. Guest in Erl: Members of the Bavarian State Orchestra
