glück.singen kicks off the glück.tage 2026 in Kufstein’s old town

Kufstein – “Come and sing along” was the call once again on Wednesday, 30 April in Kufstein town centre. The Tourismusverband Kufsteinerland hosted glück.singen – the opening event for this year’s glück.tage series.
To kick things off, four choirs gathered in the town centre and presented a musical journey through a variety of styles. The participating ensembles were the Singkreis Kufstein, the Wildschönau Gospel Choir, the Brandenberg Men’s Choir and the Zäzellia Choir. With performances in the Stadtpark, on Römerhofgasse, at the Unterer Stadtplatz, and in front of Testa Rossa on Marktgasse, a soundscape emerged in the town centre, culminating in a joint finale at the Marienbrunnen. There, singers from the participating choirs and other performers gathered for an open finale.
For several years now, the glück.singen format has marked the start of the glück.tage festival and brings together performers and the public. Using public spaces as a stage puts the communal experience at the forefront – after all, singing together makes people happy!
May highlight: Oliver Kahn & Toni Polster coming to Erl
On 22 May, the first major highlight of the year will take place at the Festspielhaus Erl. As part of a moderated discussion, Oliver Kahn and Toni Polster – two influential figures in European football – will come together in the run-up to the World Cup. The panel will be joined by the young Austrian footballer Loris Husic, who has recently enjoyed international success with the U17 national team.
Curator Klaus Reitberger will host the evening, which will explore experiences from top-level sport as well as issues surrounding performance, team dynamics and personal development.
