KUFSTEIN unlimited 2026: Rock & Pop meets the charm of the old town
Picture download:
Kufstein - 99,000 steps per team member from Thursday to Sunday. Add to that 100 construction hoardings, 128 police barriers, around 30 tents erected, almost 70,000 reusable cups, 28 dedicated catering businesses from the region and over 150 external helpers – from technical support and set-up/dismantling to security and waste management teams. Months of preparation, countless phone calls, site plans, coordination and genuine teamwork behind the scenes – all this can only mean one thing: The KUFSTEIN unlimited rock & pop festival is back on 12 and 13 June 2026.
KUFSTEIN unlimited is made possible once again thanks to funding from the City of Kufstein, the Tourismusverband Kufsteinerland and numerous generous sponsors.
When Kufstein turns it up: The 2026 line-up
In 2026, KUFSTEIN unlimited will be noticeably rockier – and the top acts will provide the soundtrack: Anna Buchegger, twice nominated for an Amadeus Award, presents a powerful blend of dialect and feminist attitude with her new album “Soiz”. Django3000 bring their wild gypsy rock ’n’ roll back to the stage with their brand-new studio album “Amore Mio Ciao” – loud, wild and guaranteed to get you dancing. Chart-topper James Cottriall delivers big pop and rock moments with hits like “Unbreakable” and “So Nice”. MandelKokainSchnaps from Berlin stand for snotty rock-pop with a punk attitude and a clear stance. Pænda delivers modern, danceable electro-pop penned by herself and has established herself as a fixture since the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Salò, the Viennese anarcho-pop-punk poet, combines social criticism with radical vulnerability on his “Hardcore ist tot” tour. Van Holzen celebrate carrying on amidst the chaos between alternative rock and big hooks with their fourth album “Solange die Erde sich dreht”. Alle Achtung bring pure festival vibes to Kufstein with chart hits like “Marie” and their latest single “Bowie”. And Hänsel blends tradition and contemporary spirit into an empowering mix complete with a powerful message. The line-up is rounded off by Brunhilde, Hey Sis, Road Chicks, Koan Akku, Moreland and many more.
Walking acts and a colourful playground
Away from the main stages, KUFSTEIN unlimited once again offers a varied programme this year for families and lovers of street art. When colours come to life, parrots flirt and trees suddenly embrace you in return, the imaginative walking acts are never far away: With ‘Colours’, magnificently costumed figures transform the event site into a swirling sea of colour. The proud ‘Pappagalli’ delight with their impressive plumage and charmingly cheeky temperament. The ‘Living Trees’, who walk through the town as living trees, provide moments of wonder. Things get humorous with three lovable chefs who create a great atmosphere among the audience with wit and charm.
In addition, a large play area is being set up in the Children’s World in front of the Kufstein Tirol University of Applied Sciences, featuring bouncy castles, a climbing tower, Bobby Cars and many other attractions, making the festival an unforgettable experience even for the youngest visitors.
With such a fabulous line-up, it’s not just the adults who’ll be happy to stand right in front of the stage and dance along: For children who love the festival atmosphere and being close to the stage but whose ears need protecting, the KUFSTEIN unlimited team will once again be offering colourful children’s ear protectors in the Kufstein design at the information container. So nothing stands in the way of celebrating and singing along together – completely worry-free. In addition to ear protectors, the information container also stocks other great festival merchandise.
DJ beats under the open sky
Once again this year, the Fischergries will be transformed into a huge dance floor. On the DJ stage, DJs will provide the finest beats and the best atmosphere with a colourful, energetic line-up. From relaxed vibes in the afternoon to driving sounds in the evening, the motto here is: join in the dancing and the party! On Friday, Aron, Stay Young, Noisegig, Lyuke, Forage and Shany will be on the decks. On Saturday, Tend & Lou, No Limit, Nickyrella, DJ Spicy and Medun will take over, delivering the perfect soundtrack for everyone who’d rather lose themselves in the beat than stand still.
Climate-friendly and safe travel to and from the festival
This year, including during the festival, the Wendlinger Bridge on the B 171 Tiroler Straße is undergoing extensive renovation. During this time, it will remain open to traffic in one lane in the direction of the hospital. Further up-to-date information can be found at: https://www.kufstein.at/sanierung-wendlinger
This construction site has no impact on road closures or the KUFSTEIN unlimited festival programme; however, the organisers anticipate increased traffic volumes throughout the renovation period. For this reason, and above all in the interests of environmental protection, visitors are again being asked this year to travel by public transport. Kufstein railway station is just a few minutes’ walk from the festival site, and the organisers, in collaboration with ÖBB, VVT and BRB, will ensure increased capacity on services to Innsbruck, Kössen and Rosenheim.
Further information on the festival programme
KUFSTEIN unlimited remains a free-entry festival this year too. As in the previous year, there is the option to make a voluntary solidarity contribution to help ensure that unforgettable musical experiences remain possible in the future.
Furthermore, little extras will ensure a perfect festival experience in 2026 as well. As before, designated drinking fountains with free water will quench your thirst. Almost 30 Kufstein restaurants and cafés will offer a wide selection of culinary delights, promising not only regional cuisine but also international treats.
A breastfeeding and nappy-changing tent will once again be available in the children’s area for all parents. Helping Hands will be on hand throughout the site to assist with any queries, and at the information container on the Upper Town Square, you can not only purchase festival merchandise but also receive help with various matters.
KUFSTEIN unlimited – a festival made possible in its entirety only thanks to the strong team of organisers, partners and volunteers, who all work tirelessly to ensure that Kufstein enjoys an unforgettable festival year after year.
