Making Music Together – Musical Parent-Child Groups for Children and Their Caregivers In this course, children embark on a loving musical journey of discovery with a trusted companion. Through singing, making music, dancing, movement, simple rituals, and playful exploration of child-friendly instruments, children experience music as something natural, connecting, and everyday. Music promotes holistic sensory perception, motor skills, emotional development, body awareness, and language development. Repetitions play a central role: they provide children with security, orientation, and deepen the joy of musical experiences. Children are given conscious space to find their own form of expression, without performance pressure, at their own pace, and with great care for their individual needs. The focus is on loving interaction within the group as well as the shared experience of closeness, joy, and connection through music.
The course is aimed at children aged: • approximately 6 to 18 months; • 1.5 to 3.5 years The course leader is Maria Sanapo, nursery and kindergarten assistant, currently training in musical early education.
