Minguet Quartett

On May 28, 2026, the Minguet Quartet will be joined by cellist Jens Peter Maintz at the Kultur Quartier Kufstein. The focus of the evening will be György Kurtág's Officium breve in memoriam Andreae Szervánzky, an impressive work that, with its dense musical language, pays tribute to the Hungarian composer Andreae Szervánzky. The concert is also part of the celebrations for Kurtág's 100th birthday in 2026.

This significant work will be framed by music from Schönberg and Mahler as well as Franz Schubert's great string quintet - a span that ranges from the Viennese Classical period through Modernism to the present day. This will create an evening that makes the complexity of chamber music audible and shows how differently composers respond to the great questions of transience, memory, and beauty.
