Minguet Quartett
On May 28, 2026, the Minguet Quartet will be guest at the Kultur Quartier Kufstein together with cellist Jens Peter Maintz . The highlight of the evening is György Kurtág's Officium breve in memoriam Andreae Szervánzky, an intense work that, with its dense musical language, pays tribute to the Hungarian composer Andreae Szervánzky. The concert is also part of the celebrations for Kurtág's 100th birthday in 2026.
This significant work is framed by music from Schönberg and Mahler as well as Franz Schubert's great string quintet - creating a bridge from the Viennese Classical era through Modernism to the present. Thus, an evening emerges that makes the complexity of chamber music audible and shows how differently composers respond to the great questions of transience, memory, and beauty.
