PROVINZ
Provinz released their third studio album "Pazifik" on February 21, 2025 – with burning hearts
and a sense of life somewhere between the aptly named province and urban melancholy. Their
first two albums reached positions 4 and 2 in the German charts, their songs have been streamed over 700
million times, their upcoming club tour is once again sold out, and in the summer, the
band performed their biggest own open airs.
Many things have happened in the last five years since Provinz conquered so many fan hearts with their irresistible indie-pop anthems from a small town in Oberschwaben. The endless
summers of youth between longing and boredom are over. Vincent, Robin, Moritz, and Leon
moved together from Southern Germany to Hamburg in 2023. They have evolved,
personally and as a band, thematically and musically.
The sound on "Pazifik" is more layered than ever. Artful acoustic instrumentation meets
sparkling synthesizers, and the ambiance is indigo blue. Everything is a bit heavier and more introspective.
Yet the hooks are captivating, and the lyrics remain closely tied to the emotional world of their generation
between love and loneliness, fear of the future, and gentle hope. To know where the journey is headed,
it is important to know where one comes from. The new single "Indigo" casts an emotional glance
back at youth – a musical love letter to the most formative time of life.
