Ritter-Fest 2026
Every year – THE highlight at Pentecost. Literally.
Once again, hundreds of participants from all over Europe honor us by taking the legendary fortress of Kufstein back to the colorful Middle Ages. An unforgettable family experience – often copied but never matched. Dive with us into the fantastic world of knights, jesters, musicians, and fire artists and experience an unforgettable weekend.
At Pentecost, the fortress of Kufstein belongs entirely to the jesters, knights, and mythical creatures. According to the tried-and-tested concept of organizer Christian Domeier, medieval celebrations will take place for four days once again on the magnificent fortress grounds. Many thousands of people come to Kufstein each year to be part of the ongoing legend.
More and more, the Knights' Festival Kufstein is becoming an international event: Guests travel from ever farther away and are entertained at the highest level by artists and musicians from many countries in Europe. For example, the Hungarian band Bordo Sarkani will be making their debut. The professional musicians play a captivating fusion of folklore and modern songs with virtuosity on their instruments. From the world of myths and legends comes Koenix, heating up the Josefsburg once again. The quirky characters of the Event Puppets showcase acrobatics at Cirque de Soleil level. They also play a large part in the evening fire show, which is always a highlight and is atmospherically accompanied live by the Nordic formation Poeta Magica.
All children can have fairy tales told to them in the tent city of Luginsland, participate in knight tournaments, and craft. Alongside many jesters and even more musicians, the extremely popular cockroach race from last year will also return. The medieval market transforms the entire fortress complex into a truly historic place, where visitors can also enjoy the aromas of delicious dishes from the Occident and Orient.
“Visiting the Knights' Festival is always worth the trip!” as one enthusiastic visitor aptly put it last year.
