On the trail of nature - free nature tours in the Kaiser Mountains are very popular

There are a lot of nature tours in Tyrol. But not many of these interesting excursions have as impressive a backdrop as the Kaiser Mountains nature reserve above Kufstein ... and all of this for free! Nature loving hikers can register for exciting themed tours until the end of October.

The initiative is supported as part of a leader project – a funding programme from the EU.

"What's crawling under our feet?", "Ants etc.", "On the hunt with a hunter"", "Edible landscape" or "Wood Wide Web – everything is connected" – these and more are among the dozens of exciting topics offered by well-trained guides (from the Natopia association, the hunting community, the University of Innsbruck, the Austrian Federal Forestry Office and the Kufsteinerland tourism association) who have plenty of fun excursions planned. The goal of the programme is to increase the fascination that guests and locals have for this wonderful local recreation area near Kufstein. The time needed for one of these "nature experiences" is about three hours (plus cable car ride). The starting time is always 9:00 am. The meeting point is the Kaiserlift bottom station. After an idyllic 20-minute lift ride the guests reach 1,200 meters above sea level at the Brentenjoch top station. Here they are greeted by pristine nature with wonderful hiking paths, opportunities to get in touch with nature, fantastic views and traditional Alpine hut culture - all in front of the imposing backdrop of the Kaiser Mountains.

Exploring nature is a lot of fun, and it's even more fun when the great and small wonders of nature are explained to you by experts. You will research and observe with your guide, your senses will be sharp-ened, answers will be found to questions, you will marvel and discover.

By the way: The new geology path, with a total of nine exciting new lessons, is currently being complet-ed. Visitors will learn surprising facts about the dynamic geology of the Kaiser Mountains. Tours will be offered on this topic.

All that you need to do to take part in these exciting, free nature tours is to register in time (at the latest two days before the respective tour): +43 5372 62207 or info@kufstein.com; all details about the Kaiser Mountains nature reserve, the themes of the respective tours, and much more can be found on the website of the TVB Kufsteinerland at www.kufstein.com.

The completely renovated Kaiserlift Kufstein will operate until October 31st, from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

There are hardly any reasons not to go: It doesn't matter how young or old the participants in the nature experience tour are, the programme is adjusted to suit the respective group. Families or specialist groups are also welcome.
