Tamara Lunger - The ice and I, strong and fragile at the same time
Tamara Lunger's last two winter expeditions have unfortunately not gone as she had imagined. A crevasse fall by Simone Moro on Gasherbrum with fatal consequences and the loss of five climbers on K2 have taken Tamara's life in a completely different direction than she would have imagined. It was the beginning of the South Tyrolean's most difficult time. Identity crises, anxiety and the awareness that she could no longer rely on her performance-oriented life pulled the rug out from under her feet. A year-long journey began, during which she fought her way back into her new life with a lot of patience, mindfulness, passion and love. A lot of work on herself, openness to “more than just mountains” and commitment to girls and women who are not doing so well have helped her. Tamara takes us on her journey to the highest mountains in the world, into extreme cold and into her deepest inner self
