Pre-New Year’s Eve "Fire & Ice" Snow Festival in Thiersee. Since 1962, the Thiersee Sports Club has hosted the traditional Snow Festival featuring a torchlight parade at the Schneeberg lift in Thiersee-Mitterland. This year, visitors can once again look forward to an atmospheric program on Tuesday, December 30, 2025! The event kicks off at 7:30 PM with a torchlight procession from the Mitterland fire station to the lift area – all children and holiday guests are warmly invited to take part. Following the opening ceremony, the program continues with "Bengali snake runs" and the traditional torchlight ski run, where skiers from the Thiersee Sports Club create impressive formations on the slopes. The excitement builds toward the spectacular "Fire Jump" and a grand closing fireworks display. Entertainment and refreshments are also guaranteed: in addition to culinary delicacies, visitors can enjoy a snow disco and a dedicated children's program for the youngest guests.
