Glorious Bodies impressively shows what the human being and their body are capable of – and that this is clearly not a question of age.
In this charming and humorous performance, acrobats aged 55 to 68 – including an Austrian – take the stage and fill it with their personal experiences, strength, and vulnerability. They all share a background in classic partner acrobatics. With a fine sense of approach, the piece addresses the question of how bodies change over the course of an artist's life – and how these changes can be embraced with dignity, art, and grace.
Glorious Bodies is a loving homage to aging and reminds us that this process affects us all – not at some point in the future, but right now.
